We are looking to recruit a part-time cleaner at our Corps in Felixstowe. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that the building is clean, neat and tidy and ready for use while maintaining a safe working environment at all times. Self-motivation, good time keeping, reliability, honesty and integrity are essential elements of this post.
Key Responsibilities:
- • Undertake cleaning duties according to the cleaning schedule
- • Fire Alarm checks/Temperature checks
- • Ensure Health and Safety and Environmental Health and Hygiene standards are maintained according to the Safe Working Practices, including wearing of any protective clothing
- • Must have the physical ability to move chairs/tables/equipment as required
- • Work as part of the staff and voluntary team within the Corps to ensure the overall aims of the Corps are achieved
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
- • Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements and procedures
- • Ability to monitor stock of cleaning materials and recognise their usage so new stock can be ordered
- • Previous cleaning experience and use of cleaning equipment including associated chemicals
- • Ability to maintain a high standard of work
- • Ability to work alone and use initiative
- • Ability to work within the ethos of The Salvation Army
SALARY:
£9.69 per hour

10 Hours per week
