40 Days of Building Relationships with God's Love
Jean Versey, part of the core planning team and small group leader, shares some personal insights.
Several months have passed since Kathleen first asked me if I would assist with the organisation of the 40 Days Campaign, which so many in the corps have just completed. It was a journey which would look in depth at the ‘love chapter’ found in Corinthians 13, not only on a Sunday, but also in our daily readings and weekly small group sessions.

"So, what did you do this weekend?"
"Oh, not much ... I just sang at the Royal Albert Hall."
"Right... Sorry ... You did what?!"
"Right... Sorry ... You did what?!"
That was the conversation I had on Monday morning a few weeks ago after the Songsters had taken part in this year's annual Gospel Arts Concert. I did point out to my colleague that I was only one of 700 people singing, but he was still amazed ... perhaps even more so!
