What are Town Pastors?

Town Pastors, working in pairs, wearing bright distinctive jackets and headgear, are Christian volunteers from local churches who will soon be out in the town centre of Felixstowe most Friday and Saturday nights being a positive influence on the streets and providing help and support to vulnerable people.

In addition there is the prayer team: some pray at the base in town and others pray at home.

What will Town Pastors do on an evening out?

They will provide a positive influence in the town - backed by prayer. Help may range from giving dehydrated people some water to drink, assisting people to get a taxi or a lift, waiting with vulnerable people, help to defuse potentially-difficult situations situations, and work with other agencies to promote safety.
