Munch’n’Lunch is a cafe club which seeks to promote social inclusion through:
• Offering volunteering opportunities for people with additional needs, including people with learning disabilities and/or mental health issues. We support volunteers in using and developing their skills and in gaining confidence.
• Providing opportunities for people who are experiencing social isolation, for whatever reason, to enjoy friendship and a real sense of self-value
Our cafe is open every Tuesday, between 10 am and 1.30 pm for refreshments and light lunches.
We welcome everyone! Our prices are very reasonable and we aim to provide healthy options.
Those who attend Munch’n’Lunch regularly are invited to join our Club, which provides a free newsletter, special events and discounts for members. From 27 September, we are also looking forward to an afternoon programme of activities (from 2.15 to 3.30).
Munch’n’Lunch represents partnership working between The Salvation Army and Suffolk County Council (Felixstowe Community Resource Unit). Financial support has been given by FCRU Support Group and the Port Community Fund. We are also grateful for the support given by our suppliers, Fruit and Flowers, Hamilton Road, Felixstowe, and by Whitehouse Enterprises and the staff at the Community Wellbeing Centre in Queen’s Road, Felixstowe.
