Community Centre

Felixstowe Salvation Army is active within our community, identifying and meetings needs where possible.  We are here to help you if we can.

We do this through:

Our Emergency Food Store is available Monday to Friday between 10.00am and 3.00pm.  Families in need can be referred by other front-line agencies, or come directly to our Community Centre to receive 3 days worth of non-perishable food.

All the food is donated by the community – if you would like to help this project then please bring your donations to the Community Centre.

Our Furniture Project receives donated furniture from the community and provides it to families in need.  Families in need can be referred by other front-line agencies through the Suffolk Council “Local Welfare Assistance” scheme where a voucher for  specific furniture will be issued.

We are also able to help in the following ways:

Sign Posting:  Our Community Centre is open from 10.00am to 3.00pm Monday to Friday.  Our volunteers are able to provide hot refreshments and a listening ear to those looking for help.  We hope to be able to point you in the right direction to where you might get the help you need if we are unable to help ourselves.

Community Café:  Our Community Café operates on a Tuesday in conjunction with “Leading Lives”.  The Café provides a range of reasonably priced food that helps to finance the Community Centre but its primary purpose is to provide an environment where the assisted volunteers can develop life skills and self-confidence as they take, prepare and serve your order.  It is open from 10.00am to 1.00pm on a Tuesday

Coffee Break: Coffee Break provides a friendly and helpful environment to those whose first language is not English but who want to develop their English conversation skills.
