• From 21-25 November 2011 for the Donate a Coat Appeal, we ask the public to donate clean coats in good condition that are suitable for another person to wear – particularly winter coats for children, older people and people who are homeless. Fur coats or snake-skin coats will not be accepted.

• Coats donated to the Donate a Coat Appeal 21-25 November will be distributed to people in need in the UK by The Salvation Army and in partnership with local groups during November and December 2011.

• 200 Salvation Army community churches and centres in the UK, identified on The Salvation Army website (www.salvationarmy.org.uk/donateacoat) will be open from 9am to 5pm from 21-25 November to receive donations for the Donate a Coat Appeal.

• The public can also give to the Donate a Coat Appeal via Salvation Army clothing banks at 340 ASDA stores from 21-25 November. The Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd will collect, count and redistribute these to The Salvation Army.
